GENERAL

How many cylinders are supported?
EMU Black supports up to 12 cylinders with distributed ignition and paired injectors, 8 cylinders with wasted spark ignition and fully sequential injection, 6 and less cylinders with sequential injection and ignition

Can EMU BLACK can be use on public roads?
OEM ECUs are calibrated and tested to conform emission tests as well as electromagnetic compatibility as a part of complicated car electrical system. Due to this fact cars equipped with the EMU BLACK cannot be used on the public roads.

Is the DQ500 gearbox supported?
EMU BLACK supports only DQ500 without component protection.

Does EMU BLACK support direct injection?
EMU black doesn’t support direct injection.

How to upgrade firmware version ?
To upgrade firmware you need to:

  1. Make sure that car and your laptop battery is charged enough that allows the car to work at least 10 minutes
  2. Save you current project to disc
  3. Turn ignition on, make sure the engine is not running
  4. Connect to EMU with the windows client
  5. From the menu Files, select option Upgrade firmware
  6. Choose desired firmware file and press Open button, the process begins
  7. After upgrade is complete, turn ignition off.
  8. You can start the engine
