Re: 1zzfe toyota - det3 piggy back install
Theres not much to it, the settings for the trigger is a 36-2 with a VR sensor. The crank vr sensor shares the same ground as the cam sensor so leave that wire connected and uncut. Cut the other wire to the crank vr sensor and connect engine side of wire to ignition in, and then i'm fairly sure its ...

Re: 1UZ ignition setup HELP! :)
Have you tried setting it to multitooth 12 teeth pr 720? Should be able to work It's set to multitooth 24 / 720 and this allows me to read RPM. But there is no trigger so i won't be able to retard ignition. If you read rpm it is reading the triggerwheel. But if it is a 12 tooth CAM wheel, then you ...

Re: subaru trigger
There's a specific setting for subaru triggers in the drop down menu in ignition settings, that works for ej20k and ej20g. The DET3 knows the trigger wheel settings when subaru trigger is chosen.
Those are 6 tooth triggers

Re: Map sensor
The original could come without, with a 2,5bar or with a 4bar. The ones with built-in sensor where just wired signal-out to analog2. You can easily fit an external mapsensor. Look through the det3 program, Setup -> Scales configuration -> Load on analog2, and have a look at the ones already written ...

DET3 Trigger input from traditional coil?
Anybody here know, if the DET3 can withstand "listening in" on the trigger signal, from an oldschool ignition coil negative terminal? It spikes quite violently under operation, so i'm wondering if the adaptive circuit in the DET3 is built for such voltages, or if that is a big no-go. So far, techsup...

Direct coil control?
Have a set of wasted spark coils from a ford with primary resistance of ~0.5ohm (What would equate to about 24a power draw).
Can the ecumaster control the negative side directly? Or is it for active coils only?
After all, the coils is located on the bigger pins in the plug
