Is this done by changing the 'Max feedback + -' settings in the 'Idle PID Control' parameters section?RHD wrote:You can set the PID so that it will only add positive compensation this should stop the rpm from dropping so low at times.

Re: Poor Trigger Pattern
I have tried the things you suggested but the timing mark is still nowhere to be seen. I will leave it as it was if you think it is fine, I was just a bit concerned the triggers on the scope were a bit close together. I took a scope whilst the engine was took to over 6000rpm and the secondary trigge...

Poor Trigger Pattern
I have my car cranking, starting and rough idling but the scope I have is not ideal. This is how it is at the moment with both primary and secondary triggers set to 'Falling' edge ... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s35/dazjb/Scope%20-%20falling%20falling%20screenshot_zpscenqbs5r.jpg The secondar...

Re: No spark from coilpacks
Result! Swapped the setting over and I now have spark
. Tested the injectors and they're all firing in sequence too. I can now check the timing then put things back together and get down to firing it up and sorting the idle out.
Thanks for the help

Re: No spark from coilpacks
Thanks for the info. I was just looking at the diagrams and was wondering whether the transistors in the coilpacks meant I should have chosen the 'Coils with built in amplifier' option. I can change it over in the EMU software and crank it over tomorrow to see if I get a spark. If the coils are dama...

Re: No spark from coilpacks
The wiring is straightforward having only 3 wires per coil. I have checked with a multimeter and I do have IGN +12v and Ground at each coilpack. I have also checked continuity of the wires from the coilpacks to the EMU and it is all good. Heres the wiring diagram for my coilpacks ... http://i148.pho...

Re: No spark from coilpacks
No, there is no spark when using test output. If I chose 'coils with built in amplifier' in 'ignition outputs' just to see if I get a spark while cranking for a second would it cause damage as it says in the manual to the coils or EMU? My coils don't have an external amplifier but there may be one i...

Re: No spark from coilpacks
Thanks for the info. I have upgraded the firmware (agreed, the test outputs function is great and works a treat) but i am still not getting any spark when testing. Today I also changed the ignition output wires to outputs 4,5,6 to see if that helped and altered the EMU software accordingly .. still ...

No spark from coilpacks
Hi all. Having some problems trying to get a spark from my EMU at the moment. I have a 6A13TT Mitsubishi VR4 2.5l V6 engine which runs wasted spark, sequential injection and has the firing order 1,2,3,4,5,6 The ignition distribution control is in this picture ... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...

Yes, it shows a signal from the crank and cam triggers, helps you iron out any syncing problems

VR4 6A13TT Mitsubishi FTO
Hi all, thought I would post up on my Project. My car is a 1995 Mitsubishi FTO, originally with an 6A12 2.0l V6 engine. I have fitted a 6A13TT 2.5l Twin Turbo V6 from a Legnum VR4 and have just finished wiring in an EMU for engine management. I have modified this over the years to be a bit of a show...

EMU synchronised but no Scope
Hi all I have attempted to start my car for the first time today since fitting the EMU. The car will not start, just cranks over. I have selected 'Enable Scope' in the 'Ignition - Primary Trigger' menu and opened the Scope in the Log menu but nothing shows up whilst cranking, it stays empty :? . I h...

Coilpacks - active or passive?
Hi. I have a Mitsubishi FTO which now has a 2.5l Twin Turbo V6 engine out of a Mitsubishi Galant VR4. I am using the ECUMaster EMU in place of the standard ECU. I have it all wired up and just calibrating sensors, etc. but I am unsure what to select for the 'Coils Type'. There are three coilpacks co...

I'm in the UK and have just bought an EMU from Retro Turbo, it was black.
