Re: Subaru WRX issues with crank trigger
Injector Phase is set incorrectly, FYI. should be set: injector 1: phase 1 injector 2: phase 3 injector 3: phase 2 injector 4: phase 4 providing you have cylinder 1's injector connected to injector output 1, and so on. From the factory the 97-98 impreza uses a single coil pack, with 2 coils - it fir...

PowerFC? There are also other ECU implant boards that have type approval in the UK.Jadzwin wrote:But they are certified with the car. It is different matter

Re: Charge cooler water pump control
It's only got the option of using the clt sensor on the pwm table. Should I use my charge cooler temp sensor as the engine clt input and use the actual engine clt sensor on an aux input? No, you want CLT to be your engine coolant temperature only, particularly for fuel & starting compensations. Her...

It depends where you live, but Apexi PowerFC is UK type approved. There are others, often re-badged or re-used in low volume car manufacture (certainly in the UK).Jadzwin wrote:Which one ?

Re: running direct injection engines??
Another ECU manufacturer does have a step up box that will allow DI injector driving. There are also a couple of OEM parts that do this.RHD wrote:Has anyone used EMU with direct injection?
What hi voltage external drivers are available that could be used?

Not correct, a few have type approval.Karel wrote:Little correction.gregpe wrote:All stand alone manufacturers advertising that dbw is only offroad and dyno use..
Thanks
All Aftermarket Stand Alone ECUs are just for Offroad/racing aplication, and not for public roads.

I keep them in stock, 0-10bar absolute, 3pin metripac, methanol/e85 proof 5v sensors.

Re: Issues with boost control - very unstable
You need your target to be closer to the actual boost if you want the control to be effective.
Looks like you need some fuel cut. You're going to cause engine problems throwing that much fuel at the engine.

Re: subaru EJ20 BASE MAP
Post the calibration you are using at the moment - I reckon your temperature compensations will be off, and after 10 minutes, with the heat you have managed to make, you are getting closer to the required fuel/air/ign setting.

I would imagine it would be much like a VVT solenoid, so PWM to determine position, high frequency, so diode protected high current output needed.

Re: Why run wasted spark with COP?
There's no advantage to running wasted spark, other than saving outputs & potentially making wiring easy if retaining parts of the OEM loom.
If you can wire each coil to it's own output, you should.

If it's the one from the profec-b or profec-b spec 2, then as per the manual.

Coil dwell drops at 16.59.9 from 5ms to 2ms
Why is this?
Battery voltage doesn't change..and neither does CLT or MAP

3SGTE has either overbucket or underbucket shims. Ignition cut activity may well result in displaced shims. Careful now.

Re: Injection angle control - new software
Then my previous interpretation for this ECU is incorrect.
So to be correct:
(720)---EXPANSION---(540)---EXHAUST---(360)---INTAKE---(180)---COMPRESSION---(0)

Re: Injection angle control - new software
its relative to TDC for that cylinder. Ign at 0deg, expansion to 180deg, exhaust to 360deg, intake to 540 deg, compression to 720 deg. TDC 0---EXPANSION---180---EXHAUST---360---INTAKE---540---COMPRESSION---720 So injection end angle is the crank angle you want the injection to be finished by. Contra...
