Re: Injectors - Pulse Width to Volumetric Efficiency
It will take you far less time to build a proper VE table than to do the math to reverse engineer a PW table. Enter 50% in all cells, which will get the car running, then tune from there.

It's already a logged parameter, TC dRPMfataznwithcake wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2017 4:50 amHow about adding rpm change rate as a logging parameter? That’s what I used to tune when I didnt have access to a dyno before I switched to the emu.

What firmware version? Copy/paste was changed at some point. I just tested it on the latest EMU Black firmware and it's working normally.

Re: Unexpected Missing tooth
Resistors are needed on some signals, even with high quality shielded wire. With a VR sensor, the voltage output at high rpm can exceed what the EMU/EMU Black is capable of reading.

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
And another possible issue. The trigger delay value seems like it's not working properly. I tried to align the timing on two S2ks (F20C) using the stock ecu as the reference, and the delay value doesn't seem to do what it is supposed to do even if i set it at 255us. I follow this procedure : instal...

Re: JDM Supra/Aristo VVT problem 2JZGTE
Yes, I tried 333Mhz but I really cannot exlpain the hesitation. VVT angle seems to follow target very well, AFR is rock steady, still I get sth like a misfire from the engine that is not shown in any parameter in the log. Any ideas? Sounds like you don't have a flyback diode installed. Won't cause ...

The factory frequency is in the 300hz range, I typically run them at 100-150hz and they work well there. I wouldn't run it as low as 30-35hz personally.

Re: Cam tooth count drops
Have you ever tried a resistor inline with the secondary trigger? If you look at the trigger error log channel, you've got some false teeth popping up. A 10k resistor would be where I would start.

Re: v2 engine help needed
Just a few things I saw in the log: Triggers look rock solid. You have sync, cam sync trigger tooth isn't moving around, etc. You are running a TON of dwell, something like 7.5 ms. What kind of coils are you running and how did you come up with such a huge dwell number? Also, is your wideband readin...

It appears you haven't set up your TPS, what else hasn't been checked? Is your fuel pump turning on? Do you have fuel pressure? Are your injector settings correct?

Bangs or backfires mean your firing sequence is wrong or your timing is 360 degrees out.

Re: Timing Drift Issue
When you change the primary trigger from rising to falling, you'll need to check timing and reset your trigger angle, as you're probably moving "TDC" as the ECU sees it by a full tooth. What does the timing light show when you change the trigger edge? Also, can you attach a log so that we can dig fu...

Re: Supra jza80 Fuel level gauge/sender question
The EMU Black does nothing to that signal, the signal doesn't even pass through the engine harness. When you upgraded your fuel pump, you either damaged or disconnected the wiring, or the fuel level sensor fell off the fuel hanger when you reinstalled it (easy mistake to make with the JZA80). Your f...

I would suggess. Crank = primary trigger CAM1 = secondary trigger CAM2 = CAM#2 both cam sensors are on the intake CAM, one will be moving with VVT-i , not sure about the second (but i think it will move too) all sensors are magnetic if i remember, so no pull-up. Filter ? Deppends on wirring. I foun...

First of All, It is nice to speak to another gen 2 3s-gte user. I have not put my emu in the car yet. (the car is off the road at the minute) After looking at the map. It looks like the ignition outputs are all pointing to plug 1. If I seem as though it is grandma sucking eggs, then I apologise. Tr...

I'll just try again. Do you have plans to in the future to support automatic transmission? So ecumaster controls shift due two load etc. There aren't enough available channels on the current ECUs to support trans control. The plan is to offer that feature with EMU Pro, but there's no release date y...

What's your question? DBW wiring should be covered pretty thoroughly in the DBW wizard if that's what you're asking about.

Hey friends, it would be nice to have a possibility to activate idle control with a simply switch and not only with TPS value. In my case idle control takes place with the throttle body, and not with a seperate idle valve, but when idle control changes the TPS value, idle control can be deactivated...

Re: Please help - 2JZGTE not starting
In general if a car won't start but is verified to have fuel and spark, you need to pull a plug to see if it's wet (overfueling). If the plug isn't wet, then gradually increase the cranking pulsewidth.

Re: Rich Idle 3SGTE
The easy answer is to contact the person that will be dyno tuning the car. If you've placed a deposit with them for tuning, they should be able to help get the idle sorted since that's part of the work they will be doing on the dyno anyway. You say you've tried many things to get it to lean out, but...
