Re: Temp sensor, how to do it right ?
The Bosch's AFM has an independent temp sensor which means an AFM always has a separate pin for the NTK (ground pin is common with the AFM). Older AFM (working on 12v like in L-Jetronic) had a something like 0.5k @20C sensors, I don't think you can find them stand-alone, you'd have to remove the AFM...

What is the log file format ?
Hi, Could you describe the binary format of the log files. I'd like to process them myself, this would save me few days of reverse-engineering :) . The CSV dump of the log contains only a part of logged parameters, for example it's missing the power output state which is a problem when this output c...

Re: Convert AFM to MAF
As I'm using DET3 to trick MAF and ignition advance I did not realize there was a built-in MAF->MAP conversion feature. I'm really surprised this can work without any accel correction functionality. I'm still sometimes contacted by guys using old Motronics, all of them wanting to convert AFM to MAP ...

Re: Support for Porsche trigger
Do the teeth have to be equi-distant in this mode ? I mean can they be very non-uniformly placed like every 30 and 90 degrees ?

Re: Convert AFM to MAF
Replacing AFM with a MAF is an extremely complex operation. Unless you want only drive WOT or idle. The problem is not only in the air temperature correction that you'd need, but mainly because of transients. Every time pressure changes inside the plenum there is a transient state that can last say ...

Request for new features
Hi, I've been using DET3 on my Alfa GTV 1.8 for 1 year and I'm quite happy. It works well. But it needs some improvements especially on the host tool side. Improvements: - Today the fuel map correction is always shown in the signal value change (actually even worse, in number of steps) even when a s...
