Re: EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping? SOLVED
Hi, thanks to the tech support (Jakub) my EMU communicates with my computer again. I contacted the tech support and they told me what to do. To let you know: I had to replace the USB-Serial converter chip and program it to work correctly. Overall time consumption ~1,5h. Would be easy to do in 15 min...

Re: EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping?
Thanks for your answer!!! That could also have been the reason for my broken connection. I used an semi broken extension cable until that day back then. It had to be bent slightly in a certain direction for a normal connection. I never thought of possibly damaging my emu with that 3€ cable  I ...

Re: EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping?
Hi tech masters, I opened my emu again, and measured Socket to the USB controller: D+, D-, and GND have continuity to their pins on the 1147. It seems like the USB VCC line ends in the socket -> that is OK? I also tried to upload the newest firmware with the instructions mentioned in a post above - ...

Re: EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping?
Hi, I now tried a known good cable and a known good computer without success. What should I do? I will take a closer look at the socket in the emu again, as the problem seems to be inside that silver box... Has anybody else encountered a broken USB connection not correlated to external hardware/soft...

Re: Lets share Lambda/AFR target tables
Hi, AFR Target table should be tuned accordingly to VE and EGT. Higher VE means higher cylinder pressure and therefore higher combustion chamber Temperature. Higher gas temperatures in the compression stroke give a higher tendency to abnormal combustion (Knock in best case, Pre Ignition in worst cas...

Re: EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping?
Hi, thanks for your Support! I now installed the new driver software, no change. Windows still does not recognize my EMU. No sound when plugging in, no device scanning etc., nothing happens. So you think I might have a hardware problem? I will get a known good USB cable and check if my cable has a f...

Re: ALS valve connector
Hi, what I bought yesterday, due to low vacuum caused by my cams: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Brake-Booster-Vacuum-Pump-ACDelco-GM-Original-Equipment-20804130-/331562443803 In a VW forum I read about a VR6 guy who connected the pump to the brake lights via a time relay, so that everytime he hits t...

Re: EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping?
Hello! Do you think that downgrading the FW, like described in that topic http://forum.ecumaster.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8548&p=15694&hilit=fw+upgrade#p15694 to something below 1.173 would cure my EMUs USB problem? I am afraid of trying that, as I might brick it. Perhaps the FW reflash again corrup...

Re: EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping?
Hi, thanks for the reply! OK, I think I did a firmware upgrade that day. So there did not happen something to the EMUs internals? Do you have a guess why there is no USB communication possible? I am no stranger to electronics, could you point me into one direction to solve that problem? Have you had...

Re: EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping?
Ok, inside everything appears normal. If the ECUMaster team is OK with that, I could post pictures from the inside. But as nothing smells smoked up nor looks grilled, there is nothing special, except of C5, there are solderpads but no capacitor in place. As the pads are covered by the glossy coat, I...

EMU USB connection/Emu self remapping?
Hi, concerning the emu, my car is running fine since over a year. But since a few weeks my laptop (and other laptops) can not connect to the emu, there is no windows "bombum" sound when plugging the jack in, like normally when an USB device is connected. The computers do simply not recognize that th...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Hi! No, I am now using sequential ignition with standard SR20 COPs.
I just want to start up in wasted spark mode, which is only possible for cyl 1+4. 2(5)+3 is not available in that table..
Best regards
clem

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Hi, since I destroyed one ignition output on my emu (by my foolness...), I have to use outputs 1 (cyl 1), 5 (cyl 2), 3 (cyl 3), 4 (cyl4). In wasted spark startup table I would have to use the pairs 1+4 and 3+5, but 3+5 is not available. Would it be possible to customize the used pairs, or at least a...

Water injection
Hi guys, I have one feature request, as I will try to use water injection - controlled by the EMU. The now available secondary injection option assumes, that you want to inject gasoline... Would it be possible to define that the secondary injected "fuel" does not affect the primary injected fuel and...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Thanks for the improvement! I am just curious, the fuel pump "primes" twice with the new version of firmware. Does the Emu now apply also two of the prime pulses? Feature request, as I always encounter boost spike: is it possible to make the DC error correction 3D ? so that error correction is a lit...

Re: SR20DET doesn't rev over 4000 rpm
Hi thilo, just to let you know, I have used a shielded cable for the cas signal, shield grounded at ecu. Ignition cables shielded, grounded at the valve cover (valve cover grounded to the head), AND had to make a sheet metal cover for the CAS and a section of the wiring to the CAS due to problems wi...
