single turbo 1jz
I have a 1jzgte that starts and runs but it has something that sounds like a miss. It is firing on every cylinder though. I have it wired for sequential fuel injection and I have lq9 ignition coils. I have the timing set to 10 degrees on the ignition map and I have verified it with a timing light an...

Re: Possible bad ECU?
It doesn't go down to 0 volts it is just that the ecu keeps on resetting I think. The car stays running the whole time. I just made my own wiring harness and I triple checked each wire when I did all of it. I really don't think that it is that.

Possible bad ECU?
I have a emu connected to a 1jzgte. When I look at the ecu state while I have the car at idle it says that it is running then every like 10 seconds it goes to unknown. And it says dissconnected on the bottom left corner of the screen. Does anyone know why that is happening? Thanks

Re: 1jzgte sounds like it's missing
I have tested just that each injector is firing, I'm not sure how I would tell the balance between them. The injector pulse width is at like 1.5 ms at idle. Let me tell you how I have the coils wired and see if you know why this is happening. I have it wired is I have it going through a plug and pla...

Re: 1jzgte sounds like it's missing
First of all they aren't 25 year old coils, they are from a ls2 so like 2006. Voltage at idle is like 14.5. I also have brand new injectors, knock sensors, map sensor is in the ecu, and I am getting a new iat sensor. I just recently put in the dwell times from a 2006 gto which would have the same co...

Re: 1jzgte sounds like it's missing
I have finally found the issue with it. Not the solution yet. The coils are firing when they should it is just really weak. I put a spark plug tester light thing inline and it just barely lights up when using the test output function. Then I put it on my truck which has the same coils and it lights ...

Re: 1jzgte sounds like it's missing
Thanks for the quick responds. Yes, I have calibrated it with the emu. I just tried lowering the ve table and I can get it to run around the 14 afr but it is popping like crazy and the idle isn't consistent at all. I just did another quick log. I am not sure how accurate my charge temp data is. I or...

1jzgte sounds like it's missing
I have a 1jzgte that I am trying to get running right. I wired it for sequential injection and I have 80 lb siemens deka injectors. I set the base fuel pressure at 44 psi. I put lq9 ignition coils on it but everything else is pretty much stock. Can anyone see if they can find any issues with the tun...

converting 1jz to sequential injection
Hi, I have a jzz30 that I am trying to convert from batch to sequential injection. I watched the video that you guys have on youtube about it an I thought that I did the same thing but I am getting a constant ground on the number 5 injector, which I now have the pin set as G14, that was origionally ...

Re: 1jz running rich
It is working better but I still have to do a bit of work to it. The throttle responds is pretty bad also. I also disabled the idle valve because I want to delete it at some point.

Re: 1jz running rich
cool, I'm glad to hear it. Are you talking about the idle reference table is what you made all of them between 50 to 60?

Re: 1jz running rich
Yeah, I don't know man. I got it to run a little better by increasing the injector size, but it doesn't seem like that is the right way to do it. I think I will probably take it to a tuner by me and hopefully he can figure it out. I like doing stuff myself, but I don't really know what else to do at...

1jz running rich
I have a 1jzgte running a emu and I got it running but it is really rich and just not running right. I put siemens deka 80lb injectors in it and it has better flowing intake and 3 inch straight pipe. Other than that it is stock. I loaded a stock 1jz tune on it and changed the injector size up to 875...
