Re: 1jzgte sounds like it's missing
I have finally found the issue with it. Not the solution yet. The coils are firing when they should it is just really weak. I put a spark plug tester light thing inline and it just barely lights up when using the test output function. Then I put it on my truck which has the same coils and it lights...

Re: 2jzgte non vvti idle /start up
Go ahead and adjust your throttle stop for a high idle. Then work on the ignition based idle control settings in 'Ignition control' menu underneath 'Idle'

Motor is out for a refresh. Will be going back together in the next week or two. Plan to play with this straight away. I’ll post back when I see what’s up.

Re: E46 Canbus Thread
I tapped into the canbus from the original DME location. Speedometer works through the ABS system but I have not put any effort into getting it into the EMU. I will probably just wire in the wheel speed output directly.

Re: E46 Canbus Thread
I would like to get wheel speed via canbus and i'm to a point where I need to use it in my calibration.
Has anyone looked further into this, or gotten it figured out?

Re: E46 Canbus Thread
I will look into this and report back. Thanks!Jadzwin wrote:Hi!
The problem is that the ABS is on another CAN bus. To make it work you need to connect CANs toogether and use user defined CAN to check if it work.
Then we can add this into the software

Re: Can bus BMW E46 instrument, temp gauge problem
Thanks. But it seems weird that the needle stays in the middle, while the light is on? I will fix another Way ro read the temp, but i would really like to know if i do have a cooling problem. Can we revisit this? Based on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTOrUbbu_RU Thanial is running the...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
I'm looking to get more CANBUS data into my EMU Black / E46 project. I'm using the bimmerforums canbus thread for information: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1887229-E46-Can-bus-project My main request is speed. There is an unfiltered wheel speed input to the original DME/ECU, so ...

Re: E46 Canbus Thread
Original speed signal is processed in the acs/dsc/abs unit and speed signal is send to the original dme with separate wire. The pin is 40-pin black connector pin number 22. Try to use this, should work? But individual wheel speeds should be also available in CAN messages. Don't know does the EMU su...

E46 Canbus Thread
I've seen quite a few threads regarding E46 / Canbus support.. It might be helpful if it's all in one spot. I just wired into the canbus and everything is working as it should. Temp gauge is weird, but I understand that the cluster processes that information. Tach is smooth, and check engine light w...

Re: BMW 330 turbo EMU black
The DME cooling fan was new info. I checked and I don't have it in my setup. I think I will install the EMU some where in the drivers footwell area because I have flying leads kit anyway. I just use the stock E-box for original fuses and relays and install the wiring through the E-box. Btw, you can...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
I have a couple feature requests regarding boost control. Is it possible to add a 2nd vss scale for blending with ethanol? It would make dial in boost for traction much easier when blending boost with ethanol. Also for a boost control knob, can we have a modifier % off set boost rather then blend %...

Re: E46 Main (DME) Relay / Switched Power Issue (EWS?)
The clutch switch signal that comes into the DME.. Is that a 'Ground to signal' switch? I'm wanting to use the clutch switch as my flat shift activation. Should I use an inverted switch input? Here are more info. It seems to be ground signal, so it should work with EMU. It turns out that this was a...

Re: E46 Main (DME) Relay / Switched Power Issue (EWS?)
Use wire from ignition switch to power emu (switched +12V) and any of aux output to control main relay I have found a switched ignition source right next to the starter signal in the 8 pin connector. This should be sufficient to turn the ECU on. ADDITIONAL QUESTION The clutch switch signal that com...
