Re: Introducing RealDash
The problem with iOS is that Apple doesn't allow generic Bluetooth devices to connect to their devices. Any Bluetooth hardware needs to be approved by Apple. Connection to ECU would be possible with WiFi, or with BLE adapters, but those would need to be integrated into EMU by Ecumaster. So, current...

Re: Wideband feedback
Well I had the engine held in steady state on the dyno doing the initial tune at 50% load 2500 rpm . target was 12.9 afr allowance set to +/- 25% yet the actual afr was showing 12.0 and the feedback was showing 90%. Just to test the problem I enriched further down to 11.5afr but the feedback still p...

Wideband feedback
I tried putting +/- 25 % in the O2 feedback which is the maximum allowed but the correction never went more than +/-10% even though mixture was a lot richer than target
is there an issue with this ?

Re: AFR Gauge Showing Different Reading (Innovate MTX-L)
I've had this issue with most ECU's and the numbers they suggest never match up perfectly I always use the Innovate gauge reading as the correct number.
I mostly use the built in EMU wideband controller and the numbers match perfectly when run next to an Innovate setup

Re: AFR Gauge Showing Different Reading (Innovate MTX-L)
If using an external wideband you need to make sure the Innovate gauge shows the same as the reading in the EMU software
Adjust the numbers in the EMU software until they do

TPS Essential ?
Hello I worked with a couple of ECU that required the Throttle position sensor be connected and working regardless of whether it was used for tuning and another ECU that could be tuned on speed/density without need to connect the TPS although it was an option to use TPS signal for accel enrich etc Q...

Max current on injector driver
Thinking about a single point injection system but need to use one low impedance injector to give 120hp. It's experimental so don't want to spend cash and I have this injector. These injectors need 4-5amps to work correctly so I was thinking about wiring 4 drivers together ? If anyone know where I c...

I did this a few years ago and came up with a number of 17% increase for E85 . Let us know what you come up with

Re: ECU issue
Do you have a fuse on the power circuit to the coils ? On another brand of ECU if you got the settings wrong for the coils it would blow the fuse so I guess if no fuse then coil damage or ECU damage could occur

Re: Porsche 996 3.4 trigger pattern/sensors
Thanks for replies I guess it's a crank VR sensor and cam Hall sensor ? I have the car coming in for a pre modification dyno test and then I'll put multi throttles on there with an EMU I see Kand N filters are claiming substantial increase in HP with one of their induction kits so obviously there is...

I was planning to use that tuning strategy which is a separate setting from the Fuelling-did you use it ?PSI-Motor wrote:No.ihiryu wrote:How about Advanced AFR instead of just Lambda fuel strategies?

Porsche 996 3.4 trigger pattern/sensors
Anyone have the crank/cam tooth pattern for the Porsche 996 water cooled engine, it's an early one with cable throttle ?

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
I prefer to use TPS (Alpha N) with map multiplication for both fuel and ignition which I assume is OKPSI-Motor wrote:It takes the vaccum in the calculations.
You have to use TPS with map multiplier and map based ignition....
as there are other options listed in tuning type for map based ignition

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
It seems I have it all wrong !
I'm used to other systems and they work differently and there is no indication
in EMU help whether ignition adjustment is degrees or % which is pretty important !
Thanks for the clarification

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Yes I thought so but I'd like to add negative values for less than 100kpa which is available in the ignition table to +/-25% which I can live with but prefer +/-50% Most ECU have this range but the EMU has advantage of the extra tables so any map override can be eliminated at idle and near idle cond...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Hello
Can you have a look at charts
Fuelling-TPS vs MAP-Needs to allow more than 255% for 400kpa 300% is standard and needs to allow negative value for under 100kpa
Ignition-TS vs MAP-Only allows +/- 25% could do with 50%
I made screen shot but can't upload it

Feature Request
Any chance of configurable 0-5volt outputs linked to any of the internal ECU params such as Wideband,EGT,MAP so a simple gauge or gauges can be hooked up.
Maybe even a simple switch to activate a warning device ?

Re: USB communication problems
Just had the dreaded comms problem with another brand ECU -turns out that it has non resistor plugs and they are a nightmare to change. Funny thing is that the car tuned in fine for an hour or so and then started playing games and now it just won't connect at all with engine running. I can only thin...
