Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
I've just installed version 1.200. Some good updates there. But... I'm repeating myself for the 10th time :( Lambda value in logs imported from a serial logger (android dash, or keelog) is always 0.00. AFR values are correct. I have the logger between my dash and the ECU. Values on the dash are all ...

With parametric output I can't set different pressures for different RPMs.samvel wrote:
Just use parametric output.
So it would be pretty much useless.

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Hi. One thing that would help me a lot. Oil pressure engine protection, instead of shutting the ignition down, have an output on a simple light that would light up if the pressure falls below acceptable point. Having a FWD race car, when the oil pressure cut happens in a turn it will result in a spi...

Re: Secondary trigger sensitivity
When I enabled the pullup the voltage difference was even smaller. It went from 0.6 to 0.7V.
But I was swapping wires to try all possible connections and I killed the sensor
I'll try different type of distributor.

Yes I have it connected to 5V. Tried 12V also, but the signal voltage was exactly the same.
I'll try playing with the pullup. Thanks

Re: Secondary trigger sensitivity
I was checking it on an oscilloscope. Tried swapping wires.. Sensible signal was only when it was connected like it's now. It's a Ford Pinto 2.0 engine and was EFI from factory 1987 :) are you sure its connected and working correctly?? i think it would be very unlikely for any oem system to use such...

Secondary trigger sensitivity
I'm trying to use a distributor with an optical sensor as a secondary trigger. I've left only one of four tabs on the rotor, so I have single tooth cam signal. The problem is that the voltage difference between ontooth and offtooth is only 0.5V. It goes from 0.2V to 0.7V. The ECU doesn't pick up the...

Re: Oil pressure and temp
I've used the exact same oil pressure sensor, but later went for the 3wire pressure transducer. The "oldschool" type sensor is mostly for gauges and the change in resistance is really low for ECUs. (0 - 200Ohms circa) You have to use a low value pullUp resistor to create a significant voltage change...

Re: How to get secondary trigger from distributor ignition?
If it's 300V, I really wouldn't connect it to the EMU. I'm wondering why is the sensor on the cable and not in the distributor. Is it an electronic distributor? Or a mechanical one with a simple switch? Every electronic distributor I've seen on an oscilloscope, the sensor was outputting a signal som...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Hi. It would be really helpful, if the analog value sent through the serial data stream (ECUMaster serial protocol) was the calcutated value and not just the voltage. I've connected an accelerometer (0-3.3V) to Analog4 and modified the ratio and offset (in sensor setup - analog inputs). In the clien...

DBW in real world?
Hi. I have a customer with Mitsubishi Colt CZT with 4G15T engine that has DBW. We want to convert the car to EMU and I want to know, if the EMU DBW capability is usable. I've seen the warning that it should only be used on stationary engines. But seems to me like a couple of BMWs here use it in the ...

Feature request: The open / save dialogs should remember last used directory. I have my own folder system for my projects and I don't use the predefined My Documents/EMU. Each time I want to open a log or save settings file I have to navigate to my folder, which is really annoying. Please :) Also, t...

I've also noticed, that when I import the log with the android option, LAMBDA value is always 0.00.
AFR has correct values though...
Maybe a bug in the software. ver 1.162

Re: Keelog serial connection
Hi. I'm having the same problem as Jan32. Was this resolved? I've edited the config file as instructed in your SerialGhost user's manual. Timestamping is on, but there are no timestamps in log.txt. I can import it with the Android import option. EDIT: I've tried using the official setup utility, but...

Re: USB communication problems
Thanks! Great answer. Will definitely try the zip-tie upgrade :) I didn't experience high RPM breakdowns on my laptop, but only on the desktop PC. When the engine was on the dyno, the ECU nor the cable were moving. And the connection dropped every time exactly the same. Once I reached 1500rpm with t...

All grounds are new ring terminals connected to the same point, and like I said the engine works with no problems...
It wouldn't with bad grounding.
I guess I can try to tape the USB cable to the ECU next time
