Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Hi Guys, Just wondering if my request as per the below will be considered or not? I'm currently hoIding out hope I can do bottle heater control with the EMU but if not I will need to get another solution asap. Even if we can just include a "Misc Pressure Sensor Input" which I can scale myself to the...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Is there any chance we can add a sensor input for Nitrous Bottle Pressure & Brake Pressure? I want to use the EMU to monitor Nitrous Pressure and also to control the bottle heater on/off. I wanted to use A/C Pressure for the Nitrous Bottle Pressure but upon looking it only goes up to 5000KPa (About ...

Re: Issues with boost control - very unstable
Thank you for all the input guys. We were using a MAC 35A-AAA-DDBA-1BA with 33hz frequency, which is identical setup to Haltech. Yes we have the flyback diode wired in. This is a brand new valve and I am begging to suspect the valve might be faulty. After some more testing is seems like the valve is...

Re: Issues with boost control - very unstable
Sorry, but what i read = open loop unstable / switched to closed loop = still unstable. Once you noticed your boost control in open loop is going to be unstable, you need to solve all problems to make it stable as hell. Once you achieve your goal, switch on the closed loop and allow just small chan...

Re: Issues with boost control - very unstable
Thanks for the responses guys. Hi..in your boost target table #1 you have 2.4 bar as your target and i think that's what you are hitting.Might be worth switching on DC error correction too and adjusting the DC table to make the error correction zero? Assuming the boost map is in absolute pressure (l...

Re: Issues with boost control - very unstable
Hi, Attached is a log from a pull in 3rd gear showing the unstable boost, with 34% valve DC. Also attached is a log with wastegate pressure only, you can easily see how much it varies with boost control kicking it and how much more stable it is without. Also have attached the current tune file. If a...

Re: Issues with Gearbox & Speed Sensor - V1.167
Hi Mr Jadzwin, Sadly this issue is still not fixed - it is just different now in 1.172! The speed works OK with gearbox sensor selected, but now the gears always stay at gear 1 and does not change with the aux input (in this case aux in #3). I changed back to FW 1.171 and it works perfectly, but obv...

Issues with boost control - very unstable
Hi Guys, Our Toyota MARK 2 with a 1.5JZ engine went on the dyno for full power tune last night. For the most part everything went very well, the EMU tuned up great and car made fantastic power. We did have a fair few dramas with boost control however hoping the guys here can give some advice so I am...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
^^ There has been logging with Serial Ghost available for some time now via the EXT Port, why not use that? Issues with Gearbox & Speed Sensor - V1.167
Hi All, Have a freshly built car sporting a 1.5JZ engine with a new EMU install. EMU has been excellent for the most part, almost runs like a factory car, but we do have one small issue. We want to use a the boost by gear feature to control boost levels on the fly. To do this, I am going to use a 5K...

Re: Bugs and Feature reqests
Unsure if this has been asked already but could we add the ability to use Cam #2 input for more things than just motorsport functions enable? I would love to use it for oil temp sensor input for example because it has a built in pull-up. Or use it for the MUX switch, which is what I commonly use fo...

Re: EMU Black vs Silver versions, what is the difference?
Yes normally I would, but this EMU Black is a second hand unit and was cheap enough hence why I was asking the questions.
Its OK I think I will pass it up this time, dont want to be stuck with it if I end up having problems.

Re: EMU Black vs Silver versions, what is the difference?
Thanks for the responses guys. This is somewhat confusing as to whether this is just a distribution rights thing or if the Black will actually be incompatible on Australian version of windows. I do not want to buy this second hand EMU Black if it will not work on Aus windows (en-AU or en-GB). I alre...

EMU Black vs Silver versions, what is the difference?
Hi Guys, I have been offered an EMU black version, which looks different to the Silver version we normally get here in Australia. My understanding is that the Black version is originally a USA sold model. Is there any actual difference between the black and silver models besides the unit colour? I d...
