ac fan output vs cooling fan output; conflict?
i have my fans operating properly, being controlled by the Emu. its on Aux out #1 and reacts as it should. im trying to get these same radiator fans to turn on with the ac clutch. The Ac is controlled by the vehicle systems, not via the Emu AC clutch menu. i have added a feedback wire to the AC mag ...

is there ever going to be an iphone app? or is there an obd2 scanner app that will work with reading data from the emu?

FJO external wideband; how do i enter non-linear afr/volts?
I have my fjo wideband controller installed and connected to the EMU. in the Oxygen sensor menu, I have external controller selected. I can enter the AFR at 0v and 5v, which works for linear responding sensors. but the NTK in the FJO is non linear so I can have it be more accurate in the middle of t...

Suggestions for controlling gt3782va?
The Garrett turbo on the 6.0 turbo diesel uses a 2-wire oil control solenoid. I'm curious of how the emu could control it. Not sure if it would use a pwm or parametric or just on/off signals. Would the boost control tab have all the necessary features or would it have to be like the vvti tab since i...

Re: Cam2 internal pullup possible failure?
Thank you.
I found out in another search that the sensor type has to be changed. I must not have seen that in the notes with the analog switch wiring diagram elsewhere.
I got it working flawlessly now.

Cam2 internal pullup possible failure?
not sure if this is what has happened since I am seeing 5v from the cam2 wire. but when cam2 is set as an external switched (to analog ground wire in EMU), the function does not disarm. ie; Sport > ALS > ALS enable input > CAM #2 input - Antilag strategy instantly turned on, even if switch is discon...

Re: importance of dwell correction vs rpm ? if any ..
today, i finally went into my emu and changed my dwell correction to 100% on the last cells. so far, so good. no spark blowout yet at low boost. i have to take the car out under high boost in cooler weather and see if my issue is solved. if a little dwell correction fixed my low boost problem, i won...

Re: IAT, CLT WIZARD PROBLEM
are you changing the very first line, [Predefined sensors] to "USER DEFINED"?
if not, that's probably why and its just reverting to whatever sensor is currently still selected

Re: Wasted Spark Help
you might have to offset the "start" of the ignition sequence. my events start with cyl2, not 1. Zach mentioned that leading the sequence (even when correct) by using the wrong cyl, can result in a no start situation. mine is 241536. not 153624. the starting point of the sequence for the EMU softwar...

Re: Antilag Setup
one thing you might want to try, is to set your base idle rpm by readjusting your throttle body set screw. once your car is warmed up, plug the iacv inlet hose so that its no longer allowing air. this will show your base idle rpm. if its lower than what you want, you can readjust the set screw to ho...

ALS mode turns on but not off, CAM2 input
I have my ALS function working mostly satisfactorily. I have it on the Cam2 input, switched, to ground. I wired it up and turned on the internal pullup on the sub menu within Ignition. i used the diagram under the User switches menu. i believe i ran the switch ground back to the engine harness groun...

Front ABS wheel speed as VSS?
can an ABS wheel speed sensor be used instead of the VSS from a transmission sensor or guage cluster output? I assume yes, and its just a matter of setting the tooth count and other parameters. however im not sure which wire to tap into from the vehicle wiring that will provide a usable signal to th...

im also having spark blow out over 18psi with my 1jzgte but before switching to EMU, I was able to run 21psi smoothly. also using a conservative 0.025" plug gap. the coil dwell corr table is untouched from the original 2jzgte base map I began with. I did try to increase the coil dwell time table und...

Re: Antilag Setup
my settings on my 1jzgte and holset hy35. while engaged, the idle is between 1200-1400rpm. manifold vacc is around -0.1bar. I keep my tps trigger low so that its a little easier to drive at low speeds without triggering the ALS. at lower rpm shifting, the ALS is adequate. at high rpm, there still is...

Re: 2jz knock sensors
there is a mathematical formula for determining the frequency and its based on the cylinder bore size. the knock sensor transmits all frequencies, that's why there is noise with the signal. you have to tell the emu what frequency to look for. if youre using a supplied base map for the 2jzgte, it alr...

Re: whys my check engine always on? when is knock voltage to
You have to tell the ecu which point in time which cylinder is firing. You don't want the sensor trying to listen at the wrong time. So that's why I had to change my sampling events so the correlated with my ignition events. I watched motecs webinar on setting up knock sensor tuning. It was very hel...

Re: whys my check engine always on? when is knock voltage to
Thank you friend.
I adjusted the gain so that the engine noise doesn't exceed approx 3v according the help guidelines.
I've all but removed the false knock like you are referring to. I then readjusted the engine noise table so it's only .3-.5v above the average noise. And it pulls 3* per volt. Now
