AcDelco D1846 pressure sensor calibration

Post by nickbmw » Mon May 30, 2016 10:43 am

Hi guys, does anyone have the calibration of the AcDelco D1846 pressure sensor? I found a guy that has done the calibration in the MS forums, but his numbers don't work, it shows 3 bar pressure with the engine off. I also notice that none of the calibrations people use in other ecus work with the EMU, why is this?

This is the sensor :

Is this not a pressure switch? One pin for warning light and other two pins fuel pump enable..if it is a genuine pressure sensor it's cheap as chips!

No, it's not a switch, it is an OEM pressure sensor.
I just installed an Autometer pressure sensor i have here, to check what is going on, and i have the same problem. With engine not running, both should return 0,5V signal which correspons to 0 pressure, but both return 1,5-2 volt signal, and i don't understand why.
I connected +5 directly to the ECU 5V supply (B23), grounded the sensors directly on the sensor ground wire close to the ecu (B18), and connected the sensor signal on analog 3 (B11)

I already have the calibration, i found it googling from the ms forums, one guy did a bench calibration. So far it is working great, but i will verify the calibration when i have the time.
I always prefer OEM sensors, aftermarket sensors fail often. The only downside of this sensor is the thread, it has M16x1.5 thread so you either need to buy the fittings needed for your application or make your own adapter.
