Hall sensor issue

Post by danypower » Fri Jun 03, 2016 3:39 pm

Hi, many thanks in advance I have an issue with a hall effect cams sensor, the gnd and +5v are correctly wired, but with the pullup resistor ON I can read only more or less 2,5 volts on the signal pin. The scope trace is a 0/2,5 square wave trace and the emu doesn't detect the sensor. I tried with a magnetic sensor and the ecu channel works well. Who can help me ?? Many thanks

a little more info might be helpful.. like what engine and sensor brand etc, they come in all different configurations so some need a pullup and some dont. if you are getting any signal at all on the EMU SCOPE then its working

usually they do require the pullup enabled and are connected to sensor ground signal and power be it 5 or 12v

it can only be faulty sensor or incorrectly wired, theres nothing else it can be
