Why run wasted spark with COP?

Hi.

My M52 has COP and i want to wire each coil to its own ignition channel.

When I have the possibility to "control" each coil why would i run wasted spark, like most do?

I would like to make my ignition event for firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4 as follows:



Is this correct or am I missing something?

There's no advantage to running wasted spark, other than saving outputs & potentially making wiring easy if retaining parts of the OEM loom.

If you can wire each coil to it's own output, you should.
