hello i have a basic afr tuning with injectors set with deadtimes real engine dislament and injector size the car run with a little ego correction what the benefit to go advance lamda and will the car run if i will change only lamda target to advance numbers or i will have to change all the ve table thanks in advance
Re: basic afr to advance afr questions
you will need to re-tune the entire VE table but it is a much better fueling model to use, and with autotune, tuning is very fast
make sure you setup the target VE table in lambda and also your charge temp table before you start any tuning

Re: basic afr to advance afr questions
Does anyone have a charge temp table for 2jz-gte vvti or some similar engine? How about VE-table?

Re: basic afr to advance afr questions
Enclose my MAP.
Problem, engine has problem revving from 3K to 4K RPM.
It doesnt want to rev freely.
AFR looks lean but it is fine when using Autronic.
Anybody feel free to comment, evaluate and give suggestion to my MAP.
Note, tuning/mapping done on street due unavailable dyno in our area.

You should attach a log file. Otherwise nobody will be able to help you.

Re: basic afr to advance afr questions
Engine revs close to 6K RPM.
It seems engine doesnt want to rev higher (heavy).
But it can rev above 7K easily when car not moving.

Same here with my SR20DET @ around 6000 to 7xxx.paryoto.semesta wrote:Engine revs close to 6K RPM.

AFR are ok close 11,50 and timing 15 with 1bar boost.

@paryoto:
Somethings definetly wrong with your fueling, the car must be hopping.
Constant throttle and your engine alternates between 3500 and 4000rpm.
Also look at your lambda!

@sxgarage:
Maybe you need more ignition advance, if i doesn't want to revv above 6k.
Altough 15° seems enough. Have you checked base timing?
Maybe your 15° are not 15°.

"Somethings definetly wrong with your fueling, the car must be hopping.

"Problem, engine has problem revving from 3K to 4K RPM"
We changed coild, sparkplug, fuel pump, FPR.
Problem is there.
Still havent found what cause this problem
Engine doesnt want rev above 6K RPM either.
This EMS is not known here and nobody can support me at the moment.
It seems all mechanics/tuners prefer to stay away rather than getting headache.

"Also look at your lambda!"
"AFR looks lean but it is fine when using Autronic"
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8839
We dont know what parameters must be entered.
Measured sensor resistance, got 124.
The rest just "values should not be changed".

Re: basic afr to advance afr questions
Given the problems that you have, the lambda reading of the emu is probably right.
I also noticed that your emu is only reading an average of 12V for battery voltage.
You could try different injectors.

"I also noticed that your emu is only reading an average of 12V for battery voltage"
This also incorrect reading from EMU.
How to fix?
Above 13 volt when measured using multimeter.
"You could try different injectors"
Dont have any but mechanic said injectors are fine (tested and cleaned).
This EMU was failed when installed at Aristo (you can find previous owner in this forum).
Hopefully it wont fail for second time.

Re: basic afr to advance afr questions
Maybe lower the dwell time.
Had this problem with a vvti engine with wasted spark

Re: basic afr to advance afr questions
Fire up the EMU with an external power source without any other components attached, and see if the voltage reading is now correct.
Check your wiring, although it shouldn't be the faulty part. As the engine works perfectly under other circumstances, i guess?

"Maybe lower the dwell time"
How many point lower? 0.2, 0.4, 1.0?
Currently using 2JZGTE VVTI stock coils.
Should "Predefined coils" be change? Which one?
Now first option selected.

"Check your wiring"
Have been checked many times.
"As the engine works perfectly under other circumstances"
Engine works fine when car not moving.
Problem 3-4K RPM and above 6K RPM when driving.
Also slow throttle response (using 80 mm aftermartket TB).

Re: basic afr to advance afr questions
This is not a problem with the fuel, i think.
check your logfile. cam sync trigger tooth must be stable.
1. your vvti control does not work as it should. try to disable
If that does not help
Go to: Ignition->secondary trigger->sencitivity switch rpm -> 2000
if it will help, enable vvti and tune it correctly

"Go to: Ignition->secondary trigger->sencitivity switch rpm -> 2000"
Try to lower to 2000.
Engine struggles to rev above 4K RPM (car not moving).
Change "Predefined coils" to second option.
Same result.

Try disable vvti control
