cranking issues 36-1 Jeep 4.2 I6

Post by Jeepster » Sun Feb 25, 2018 10:06 pm

Hi all,

in between my jeep is purring like a kitten with the emu :D

I'm sorting out smaller Probs. For example - Engine start.
It takes 1,5-2 seconds to rev up. this is not necessary, because....

Turning the key, at 90% of the starts there is a rpm jump up to 5000-7000 rpm in the first second.
Look at my log/picture.
Whats that? This is NOT my HighPerformanceStarter  ...how can I change this? Shunt resistor in cps-VR-line?

When this rpm-jumps occures - fuelcut comes into game and the injectors will not squirt until FC is over!?
(not completely right - they start, when RPMs are going down)

Two questions:
1. how can I avoid this rpm Jump
2. why there comes fuelcut???

Greetings
Michael
