Hi Jakub!
It has to work ;D
My Actuator is a servo which needs this frequency of approx 333Hz. So this should not make trouble.
BUT:::::: EMU Client still does not want to start!? I try to reinstall Windows if you do not know a cause or solution and let you know.

Thanks so far :)

YESSSS!!!! It works again! deleting that file did the thing. DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE

Client can be opened, emu configs can be loaded, but when I open
3D Tables or Gauges it fails. Same error report by windows as with my first problem.
Opening 2D Tables or Parameters works without issues and client can be reopened without problems.

Another non-live-necessary file which needs to be deleted somewhere?

Thanks a lot! Also I have huge respect of you and your programmer/engineer team for delivering this new fueling mode!
That makes the EMU to almost OEM grade ECU ;D

There is a problem with OPEN GL. Try to install latest drivers. I think you have intel card on board

Hoping to get some ideas for connectivity issues with my EMU.

I have a windows 7 laptop PC that is having problems connecting.

I have posted my own thread on this issue but hoping someone else that may have a similar issue in the passed that may be able to shed some light.

The issue started when initially i was posting about my cars fuel pump only being on when the key is on but when the engine starts it turns off and causes the idle to be very low and stall under throttle.

After i posted on the subject i was recommended to invert the fuel pump output. Which worked for about 10-20 seconds and suddenly the car stalled and the laptop showed " Disconnected " even though the key was still in the on position.

So i tried to start the car once more and it started for a second then died again.

After the next day i was trying to figure out what to do and ended up installing the driver and windows client again and went out to connect the emu and it connected. So i thought the issue was sorted out. I then the next day tried to connect the emu to my lap top and the problem has happened yet again. Except this time even though i've followed the same steps i did before it still shows that it cannot connect.

I also tried two other laptops with the drivers and windows client installed and have the same result. So a total of 3 PC's with the same result i sent the EMU back to have i tested. I also purchased another USB cable with the same result. " Disconnected"

Has anyone had any similar problem ?

My win 8.1 laptop sometimes drops connection and shows alarm message "USB device has failed and windows does not recognise it" (or something similar) Usually i need to restart everything, sometimes computer too and /or move to new USB outlet and works again ??

Also ver 1.11 the + toggle on Keyboard stopped working?? (- works fine) seems to be across all tables and sensor calibrations...... Edit, Its ok i found customize keys function to fix tis one :)

do you tried with other usb cable to connect EMU to laptop ? some time ago after more than year in the car i have similar connections issues but the real pain was error during software update ( i brick my EMU ), after Jadzwin fix my device and check that all is alright with the hardware i installed it into a car and again same issues... long story short try change usb cable

and check power options for battery in windows setup :
usb.jpg
A USB device driver can send a message to windows telling it to idle the device. This puts the device in a low-power state (the suspend state). When a USB device is suspended, windows does not wait for it to respond before entering a sleep or hibernate mode. If you disable this feature, the system will simply return a failure to the driver when the driver attempts to enter suspend state. If the driver complies with Microsoft guidelines, it will simply retry the idle request at every expiration of its idle timer.

Thank you. It has been ok last few times but it makes sense, the cable end has been on the dirty and dusty floor of a race car for a long time while other work was being done, so very likely the connections were not clean

I see a lot of troubles with USB connections, not only EMU. Serial COM port connection works always. Any other options for communication?

I like USB a lot better than serial!! they used to give lots more problems with port settings etc..... plus no computers have them these days so you need a usb/serial converter, then you are right back where you were with USB but with another added inconvenience etc.

You can also try newer version of usb driver that you can find here : http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm

Hi,

Thanks for all the great development and adding new features.

I was trying out and loading the cvs log into the megalogviewer hd, it had some really good features that I think would be very nice to have in your software. You can build histograms from the log, where you can get a color coded table of the afr in a rpm/map table, which is cell weighted, and then get the difference from the average cell afr compared to the requested afr from the afr table. So if you road tune and save a large log file you can easily see which cells needs more attention.

The problem I find with the logging and adjusting today is when you look Into the log after you have been driving for a while, you find an area you want to adjust, then you continue looking thru the log, and find another place where it for example is running rich and adjust it, then there is a risk that was the same cells you already have adjusted, so you by mistake adjust the cell twice.

I don't know if this is interesting for you, but I find it would be a really good way to implement the auto tuning feature with.
