Hello,
Was wondering if anyone has had this issue. I m reading RPM when my key is ON position. This happen to me about a year ago and I grounded one one of the wire and the RPMs were gone but now its happening again and I havent touched anything. However, I m curious if one of the wiring are switched with the Crank Sensor, Would It cause the RPM to show up without the Car is turned on?
The RPM's are around 103-104
Thanks
RPM on ON Position :(
Re: RPM on ON Position :(
The noise in the installation makes this issue. Just put pulldown resistor (2-10K) between sensor ground and primary trigger to suppress the noise.
Re: RPM on ON Position :(
Is this the values or something I would input in the computer ?
Re: RPM on ON Position :(
Any resistor in this range should work.

Hey Jadzwin, I already have a Resistor on the car, I have a 2JZGTE swap with a resistor.
Re: RPM on ON Position :(
Are you sure you have pulldown resistor on primary trigger ?
It is not used in standard 1/2JZ application

Hey Jadzwin
Disregard my post, I clearly can't read. The whole time, I was reading my log incorrectly and I thought I had RPMs showing on ON position but wasn't. It was my MAP sensor reading….. I m so dumb but anyways here is a video of my car running, Enjoy!

Re: RPM on ON Position :(
haha.. even though your problem didnt actually exist sometimes it can exist!!
I had a car once that when you turn on the thermo fan with the engine stopped the rpm would start and even injectors sometimes tick because the crank sensor was mounted on the front of the engine close to the fan motor and was picking up magnetic signals from it! Interesting thing was it didnt actually affect the engine when it was running at all so i never bothered to fix it.

yea, well i was reading RPM last year on ON position but Zach helped me out and said it's the harness issue, I think I connect power ground to Ground to the ECU and it stopped the Noise and no more RPMs reading…RHD wrote:haha.. even though your problem didnt actually exist sometimes it can exist!!
