Fuelling by gear

Post by pepifebles » Sun Jul 19, 2015 3:35 pm

Hi, please see my 2 logs attached.
First (2ª gear) can see that I need more fuel, lambda 0,84 and 21,92 injectors PW, but second log (5ª gear) can see too much fuel, lambda 0,72 and 19,81 injectors PW. Boths logs its the same map, why happend that shorts gears 1ª and 2ª my mixture its lean, and at higher gear, more rich its mixture?. I would like plane 0,80 miture at all gears.

Better attach your calfile and logfile.

Where is Your lambda, is it correctly configured?
Trust Your 5.gear data more than 1-2.gear as engine acceleration is too high to get correct data.
It seems You`re also on the limit of injectors.

Stock 540cc injectors. I think that are good for 330/340hp and now my engine is far so that power.

I attached files.

Take a look at your IAT compensation.

I dont understand you. This map help to improve my "different gear fuelling" or injectors PW or DC? I havent modified this map. What is your recomendation? I havent idea

It is not so big difference in AFR if you compare 3 vs 4 gears in attached log.
Also you have some more load in higher gear so it is normal.
Also you are pretty much all the time over 90% DC and at 100%DC starting from 6200rpm.
What i dont like is how InjPW & DC spikes up&down while VE is smooth.
Also your IAT pretty constant all the time. On IAT fuel compensation you can find a lot of reading over internet.

It appears your fuel system is maxed out. Have you checked fuel pressure is correct and consistent at rail under load? Either fuel press is too low or your injectors are too small. You need to get that max injector DC down or you will never get a good tune.

Thanks guys.

3 vs 4 gear no, but 2 vs 5 gear the different is higher.
Stock fuel pressure is 2,3 bar. My current is 3,5 bar. Injectors size its 540cc. I uprgrade my fuel pump in a few weeks. Too many People tell me that stock fuel Pump cant increase stock pressure. I have increased it and dont feel it bad but, if people 3sgte owners tell it will be correct.
I find info about Fuelling iat compensation.

Thanks.

Stock pressure should be 3bar, and rise with MAP. Check that you are getting full battery voltage to pump under load, and check fuel pressure under load. One celica i tuned had a small fuel return line, with lots of bends which can cause FP to "max" out long before peak load. It made the Regulator useless.

stock fpr on a gt4 isnt 3 bar , its 36 psi iirc . stock pump is probably the cause as it will raise the fpr when at idle but at boost it will struggle , i put a walbro 450 in mine , its actually quieter than the 255 i took out

Hi, my Pump tension its 11v At idle and load. What can I do, relay, wire...?

Check negative wiring (ground)! Should be more than 13 volts when engine is running...

Please remeber that IAT correction is automatically applied based on physics rules.

The IAT correction table is just for non physic correction (eg. you want the mixture richer for high IAT).
