What is the best way to set up knock sensors?

- Calculate the frequency and get the right cylinder for each sensor.
- test, if both sensors working, if you have 2
- read out the noise from idle to max rpm with ignition little late, so knock would NOT occur.
- set the gain in a way, that the loudest noise is not recognized as knock.

Now the hardest part: try to let it knock...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Right this way?

What is the safest way to do it?
Just go earlier with the ignition and hear and look to the graph?
Would anybody please post a log with knocks, i like to see, how it looks 8-)

I don't have a log of knock, but it should show as massive spikes.
