Hello everyone, I' m new to this forum as I ve recently purchased a standalone EMU.
I' ve always tuned injection maps in injector pulse, and this is my first approach with VE. It is clear to me how the ecu calculates the injection pulse, but I have absolutely no idea how to set up a VE map. With the pw method i usually set a base map to start the engine and than fill the matrix on the dyno. On the contrary I have no idea of what a base VE map is like and how to start to build one.
Any help will be so meaningful. Thanks a lot and happy tuning!
Francesco
Getting started with VE maps
Re: Getting started with VE maps
It's pretty much the same. Normally VE at idle is like 50-70 depending.
Personally, I would put in any number, just to get it to idle, but I always start with 70, but most of the time I have to go down from there.
