Boost Control Compensation with 4 Port Mac Valve

Post by duncan351 » Fri Jan 15, 2016 7:04 am

I went out tonight working on my fueling in certain areas of the map and noticed my boost control is a little crazy. Here are the logs. I ended up lowering the Boost DC Error correction and this helped however it still spikes on the initial hit and then DC error pulls it down but just trying to have better control if possible.

DC ref is too high at by the looks one i looked at showed 63% and boost went to 1.6 bar target was 1.1 . i would lower boost ref to around 45% and start from there . you can make the dc error correction take more out when it goes over too and likewise when its under and then use logs to make some adjustments to DC ref table .

thats what i have done but someone may give you a better way

transfer your boost valve to the user PWM table and test run several DC settings to make a list of what DC = what boost, then use that list to setup the ref table, in that way the error correction is not very active and boost is usually very stable and easy to control!

I would try open loop control first, and make sure you can get boost in without it spiking.
