i am currently converting a Suzuki TL1000r to EMU standalone but have a problem i am struggling to resolve
The engine is a 90 degree v2 with an unequal firing order, the ignition rotor is 4 teeth equally spaced at 90 degrees
the firing sequence for the engine is
cyl 1 ignition event at tdc 0 degrees cylinder 2 ignition event is at 270 degrees then no more ignition until cyl 1 at 720 degrees
any suggestions for ignition event sequence please

set up for a 8cyl and use ignition events 1 and 4, they are 270 degrees apart, then just ignore all the others.

it must have a camsync signal from somewhere too, you will need to use that too

i was originally thinking along those lines i was just concerned that the EMU would not like running that way.
I have a camsync signal also

the ecu will be perfectly happy and none the wiser
you will need to experiment with first trigger tooth and ignition angle settings until you get it to fire

interesting project, apparently a very nice engine!

the engine is quite strong as standard we ran last years engine up to 20 psi with the only problems due to the cylinder heads lifting and blowing the head gaskets.
The last run was almost 30 psi due to a control malfunction hence the change to emu.
