12v Hall Sensor

Hi guy, I was just curious if it's possible to use a 12v HALL type crank sensor. I know the 96-99 E36 BMW had a recall to switch from a 5v to a 12v HALL sensor because the 5v ones were getting false readings. I'd like to be able to use the stock crank trigger sensor on my build, but in the EMU manual it only talks about wiring up a HALL sensor with a 5v source.

we use the 12v ones all the time on m54 and m50 engines etc works really well!

Where do you pull the 12v from?

same circuit as the vanos solenoid, injectors, idle valve etc doesnt matter
