hi to all who read my thread!
hope some one can give me some info on this topic.
i run a emu on a 4EFTE toyota engine. there was a bosch coil on it which did not had a build in ignitor, but had issues with spark plug leads falling off and fed up with it.
so i put some K20A honda coils on it because they fit really well on this engine,
after that i change the settings to built in amplifier and put in dwell times i found on the motec website.
the only problem i have now is that te car sometimes doesnt start which i have think has something to do with the dwelltime being to short when the voltage drops when you crank the car over to start it.
these are the settings i have in the emu now:
voltage dwelltime m/s
8 4,8
9 3,5
10 3,0
11 2,5
12 2,1
13 1,8
14 1,7
15 1,5
what is save to try without frying my brand new coils ?
thanks for now! steven

Re: K20 honda coils dwell time
Hi
your dwell time value is too small
I run a lot of k-series engines, on these settings and everything works fine,
these settings are calculated from K-pro ecu tables
