Ignition stage and timing angle issue.

Hello all,
First, let me state that I don' have many hours into the EMU but I'm learning fast.
Problem
=======
The engine will crank, start but will idle with a miss. Trying to sync the engine I notice that it's way out and the timing looks retarded from TDC by at least 15 - 20 degrees.
Timing fixed at 10 trying to sync.
Timing light sits between coil 1 and spark plug wire to plug 1.
Adjusting the ignition angle from 60 to 45 brings the timing close to TDC but the car has a very hard time idling and sputters or dies and misses it seems more.

Stock Aristo 2jz-GTE (mapsensor based ecu)
EMU PNP harness
EMUB
External WB on input 6
