Strange blank spots in log - SOLVED

Hello,
wanted to ask something about some strange logging issue that is bothering me from the beginning. I have attached a log to the topic. If you switch to Trigger sync status and Trigger error you can see on a few occasions that the sync is reported as lost and on one place even that a secondary trigger error appears. Strangely the car drives perfectly and i am not even able to feel the trigger being lost. I suppose its possible the trigger to miss for a milisecond due to a noise or something, so i suppose i shouldn't worry about these ? However the main issue that i am wonderg about is that, if you switch to MAP value and VE you can see on several occasions that the map goes out of the bad like 10K or something and same for the VE. During this time the car drives perfect however the ECU sync shows red and reports non synchronised and the AFRs are frozen. This happens randomly and the only trouble is that its plaguing my log. Could it be that my Laptop is too slow ? I can see that during logging the CPU is between 85% and 90+%, however it does not seem to reach 100. Its an old laptop with Pentium M inside, so i am wondering if it may be the cause of these blank spots. Forgot to mention. The engine is 3SGTE gen2 JDM with stock turbocharger CT26. The car has no mods except the ECU :)

Well, i see baterry voltage drop, RPM increase and whats happen ? May be just your battery, alternator, or some shortcut. While shortcut may occure some sparks, that will result in false reading of very high RPM etc.....

So check for grounding, shortcuts, and tighten your battery, alternator and starter cable.... Also check the main relay.

Hello,
yes that is indeed, what is seen in the log , but its most probably wrong. The car works perfectly durign the blank spots. Sometimes they are a lot longer line over a minute, it was just yesterday they were very small. I will try to capture a better log, and i will monitor the voltage. I have a gauge on the instrument panel that is measuring alternator voltage, so i will be able to see fluctuations. Thanks.

If your car runs good, that it must be just stalled comunication over USB.....

The 3sgte in the MR2 is very prone to wiring harness trouble below the fusebox near the strut tower in the body harness. Toyota in their infinite wisdom put several un-sealed splices in the section of harness, and they will corrode. There is another splice near the ECU connector that provides power to the ECU, so monitor voltage at the EMU AND on your dashboard gauge, and verify they are similar. Or check voltage at the rear fusebox VS what the EMU see's.

Ok problem found :( it was the slow laptop indeed. Pentium M just cant cope with the EMU software, and log. I modded my work laptop to be able to run the EMU, its an I5 processor. It was flawless, didn't miss a beat. CPU couldn't even get to 10%, so the blank spots were a product of HW not being able to keep up with the EMU. THat mistery is solved.
