Hi All,
Trying to get my idle stable on my 2jz and tried all i can think of so far. Im using open loop for now till i get it stable then ill setup closed loop. It goes up and down a couple hundred rpm. Engine has 264 cams, 1000cc injectors, 43psi pressure.
Is this normal for this engine? Do i need to set it up on closed loop to get a stable idle?
Attached is a log file

Thanks for all help in advance :)

I haven't looked at your MAP, but how is your timing table?

Ive got my idle area on 8 degrees atm around idle with a lip just below it at 10 degrees. If i use higher timing it gets even more unstable.

Try 15 degrees, and check your fuel map.

And did you check that your mechanical timing matches your ecu timing?

Agreed, I don't allow EGO correction until 1300 until we get to 100 KPa

I got the idle better but not perfect at 900 using 15 degrees around idle and a lip under it at about 18 degrees. Im going to degree the cams this week. I think that may help. (Shoould have done this before).

The engine seems to idle a bit smoother with the afr's are in the 13's. Has a little pop everynow and then when at around 14.7. It has to pass emissions tests here for rego so i need it at 14.7.

Thanks for all your help guys! :D
