Throttle reaction speed.

Hello Did measurements today with my fluke 196C memory scope meter :-)

( Not realy mine , i have borrowed one from a friend. What a great equipment but expensive !! )

I have compared the ecumaster with the original marelli ECU as the throttle reaction is much better on the marelli than the ecumaster, for the moment.
I found, thanks to the fluke memory possibility , that the level of injector PW(red line) is about the same on the 2 ecu's, on a simular strong short push on the throttle ( +- 15 -16.5 msec peak), but the marelli is much much faster in reaction.The blue angle is almost vertical on the marelli ecu.
The angle in blue is almost vertical with the marelli as on the ecumaster there is a there is a angle and so i feel the engine has a short delay time.You can also see the sort lean periode on the green afr line.
Of course i can not measure this on the marelli ecu but i feel the diffirence when i drive the car.

Which parameter could i use to make the angle steeper ?
TPS rate is already at 120msec and acc enrichment on 130 % .

Just checked and it's enabled . Would this cause a delay in delta TPS reading ?

If you filter is too big it will cause slow reaction on low RPM.

You can check it just disablinfg MAP filtering.

In new software for MAP filtering mode > 0 there is a table that you can set up filter power in function of RPM.
And MODE1 - MODE3 has different filter algorithm so it should perform better.

Hello Jad

I did the test and lowered the filter to level 1. Max= 20 and on the map filter graph "0" till +- 3200 rpm.
It changed the car/engine completly !! :shock:
This is a very important parameter ! I practacly have to redo the complete mapping (and enrichment ) for the lower and mid range.

Can you please give some more detail on this and maybe warn in the manual for the importance of this setting.

Is it not better to use the internal map sensor all together ( longer tube from inlet to ecu .....+- 1.5 m ) ?
The sensor is good quality ?

The mode0 is the old algorith that was used in previous software version.

Mode1 - 3 is the low pass filter. For mode 1,2,3 the different number of samples are used. Due to this fact the Mode3 is stronger than Mode2 and mode2 is strogner than mode1. Actually there are 3 modes to make some test and to find the best mode. For these modes the table with filter power in function of RPM is used.

However use the filters only when required.

Hi!

The sensor is top quality, automotive grade.
In most cases the "noise" on map sensor is connected to pressure fluctuation in intake manifold.

If there is electrical noise due to bad grounding, internal MAP will help
