Hi guys,

I literally got my JDM MR2 SW20 running on EMU, thanks for ATSRacing for supplying.

I am having a hard time dialing in the SARD injectors 800cc 63564, HIgh impedance, sidefeed.

My idle at AFR is crazy according to the log, however on my Innovate LC-2 Gauge it jumps less maybe about 0.5 afr.
Now i wonder if it is the LC2 causing the log being so rough, OR does the log response faster than my gauge actually shows, since i am using the output 2 on the LC-2 controller.

I had a play around with the injector size and battery offset, to get to what i feel is smoother.
Anybody have any advise on how to dial in injectors? i.e. do the Scaling first then the battery offset?

problem 2.

I'm having massively high idle, how do i adjust my idle control? using the 3wire pwm but it is not response to a low enough idle.

So is there any way i can play around to make it go even lower?

Battery offset, and Scaling is nothing to "play" with. This must be correct numbers, and it alone does not mean nothing.

If you car want idle good, you need to set first everything to be correct, like Temp sensors, crank index offset, TPS, idle stepper, correct size of injectors ....... etc etc


Than, if all parameters are ok, you will start with for example 10° ignition advance and you want to stabilize your engine at anywhere from 800 to 2000RPM .... does not really matter for first time. Now you need to correct VE table, and then start to move down to you desired idle speed by closing idle stepper or changing duty on solenoid etc... and always correct VE map in new Windows what are you in.

So than you have the engine started, and can say ok, now warm up and start to real tuning.......

I dnot know what do you know about tuning, but ready something about it, and look also in someones maps, to have idea how it works.

PS: 17° advance at idle will not give you best results if ouy are searching for stable idle
and your injector latency will be greater, because this old mamoth thing will have more lag then modern injectors for sure..... i will bet for something like 1,1-1,3ms at 14Volt
