Hello! I have sort of a base map for my engine, but the car feels very weak and seems to want more ignition, as EGTs are pretty high too.
Does someone have a MAP-load-based Ignition map for this engine? nothing fine tuned, but just to have a better start, with normal 95 Octane fuel.
That would be a great help!!
my email is spaxsi(at)gmail.com
thanks

Where You put timing light inductive pickup when syncing timing? I have found up to 15deg difference when measuring at coil vs loop in oem loom.

well, there are different methodes to get the correct value, I prefere to use that: cable between coil and plug and pick up the signal directly there. the loom-loop methode requires to hook up the pickup not fully closed, just close it as much as needed so that the light starts flashing.
again, i prefere the first method, as it always shows the correct value.

So you connect at coil, so timing sync is not a problem then.

exactly.
btw: I downloaded nistune and tried to "copy" the timing map, but that always has the trouble, that nistune is maf-based for load estimation... where do you have your base map from?

I dont have base map, also I`ve never tuned it with Emu. I`ve tuned SRs on Autronic, Apexi PFC, oem.
If You have correct trigger settings that`s all You really need. Now just tune Your engine and give engine what it needs.
