misfires

Post by alper » Thu May 14, 2015 7:25 am

hi
I have severe misfires between 6000-8000 rpm.
the gear is Neutral. I tried it on the street - same.
I changed the coils, spark plugs, injectors.
it was running full sequential. I changed it to wasted spark and semi sequential.
result is : same.

is it new sensor ??
we had same problem with a vr sensor worked fine but high rpm it would miss fire so put a new one in it and it would be fine but vr sensors are not very good at high rpm i believe anything over 7500 they play up according to Bosch data

I don't see any trigger errors, but I normally don't see them recorded in log unless the advanced filter is turned on. also pull a scope when the misfire is occuring. enable it in Primary trigger, and hold down the blue arrow button to record. scope window is in log menu tree. There are several good filters in the EMU for dealing with weak/noisy VR sensors.

Why is Warm Up enrichment below 100%? you have set to 80 at the current coolant temp you are running.

What Firmware version are you using?

glad it sorted it out :)

is doesnt always show up thats its a bad sensor on the logs but 80% of the time at high rpm its usally the sensor at fault
