Hello guys,

i have a question about the CAN features of the EMU.
Maybe some of you guys know that the germany TUV is one (if not the strongest) car checking company in the EU.

Here in germany we have massive problems with our exhaust noise limitations.
For the VW Golf, Audi etc. people there are boxes out there which can control exhaust flaps/valves for nois restrictions like:

-car idles -> flap is closed
-car drives over 70km/h and over 50% throttle body flap is open = free flow exhaust + noise

The problem for us old car drivers is that these boxes will only work with CANbus.

So is it possible to use such a unit with the EMU?
Can the EMU "emulate" CANbus or send the same signals like RPM, % of TB, boost etc. or something like that?

You dont need Canbus for that, EMU can control a flap valve directly, using one aux output set to whatever rpm or tps you would like.

Um was für eine Klappe handelt es sich denn?

Wenn die EMU das allerdings selber ansteuern kann (mit einem solenoid dazwischen9 dann ist es auch gut.
Wieder mehrere hundert € gespart.

Das kann die Emu definitiv.
Setz dich am Besten mal mit Boba in Verbindung- der hat eine Klappe am laufen. Denke er kann dir da gut weiterhelfen.

We talkned about an exhaust flap from a company called HG-Motorsport in germany.
It works with CAN-bus signals.

Racekid21 wrote that the EMU does work with a solenoid in the vacuum line which goes to the flap.
And i should contact Boba motoring, because i he runs the flap/ solenoid with the EMU.
