Lancer Evo VI TME

Post by TME » Sat Jun 13, 2015 6:47 pm

Hello guys
I´m trying to set my Evo with Emu Standalone Ecu. After put the right setting (jumpers and pinout), car does not start.
Problems found:
- following the jumpers for Evo VI, fuel pump does not work.
- AC fan works all the time.
- Car does not start

After solving the fuel pump problem (changing pin 8 and pin 22) it works, but car continues without start. Car wants, but seems there is something wrong.
is it normal, fuel pump after ignition, works continously?

and now, about software... how can i know if my project has been sent to the ecu? software lacks options as Read/Write.... and only when I connect the EMU it asks me to upgrade my project.... but i don´t know if file has been upload sucessfully or not.

any light please?

thanks in advance.

regards.

HI
I would suggest start from reading manual and help sections in ecu software.... and you will find answers for your questions..

Hi gregpe
thanks for your quick response.
First of all, before i bought the Emu, I read the user manual. would you be so friendly to indicate me where is indicated how to know if the file is uploaded?
Maybe, I didn´t find it becauase I´m not an advanced english speaker... sorry if something is not understandable

I think the problem for not starting is solved....when I check it, I will write it here.

Fuel pump already works correctly.

regards.

Every modification you make on the file (tables) you have to press "make tables permanent" key in the left of the toolbar to save it to the ecu.

When you make the connection to the ecu it will automatically get the file that is on the ecu.

Yes, but to send a new file? Software ask to proceed, but not shows a message with the success or error
And what about the case, send a new file but when cut the ignition and put again the key, software indicates old file, not the last one sent

you open a file (with ecu connected) you press "make tables permanent" to save it on ecu, after that turn ignition off and on you wont see the old file.

Ok! Done!! Thanks

Now, I'm fighting with the cranking.... Fuel pump is working, checked all the wires and pinout, but car does not want to start.... I think I'm very close to get it, but where is the error?
I've tried with the evo_start file (here in forum), another mine some modified... Same result
The setting for the tps is good, and I've also checked the map (with the emu gauge)
Ideas?

try to find a tuner - or - let me connect to your computer via remote control software like teamviewer for some help if you want.

Sounds like you use PnP interconnector. There should be no problem with starting the engine.
Please contact our tech support (tech(at)ecumaster.com) we will help you to setup interconnector and to start the engine
