I was having high idle problems idling @ 1600rpm. I tried adjusting with idle ref bringing down duty cycle. I got my desired idle but noticed as i was bringing it down my wideband reading was getting richer. I had it idle at 900rpm and the wideband readings are at 12.8-13. When before at 1600rpm it was at 14.5-14.8. Is there something else i should be looking at or adjusting when trying adjust idle? Car is mr2 gen3 swap

When you dropped idle RPM you moved to a different RPM and load cell which changed your fueling, and probably timing depending on your maps. Fueling and timing are the 2 primary things you need to be adjusting when tuning idle.

For good idle on an MR2, first disable the IACV, or unplug it. Unplugging will make it return to its default position, but it will still bypass some air. Then get good stable idle with engine warmed up, and AFR and timing where you want it. When you are happy with it reconnect the IACV, and it should not have much work to do except cold starts, and stabilizing idle when you come to a stop.

Be sure you have the latest firmware, and use the 3-wire PWM no spring setting.

I usually leave the idle fine tuning for last when tuning, get it good enough, and move on until main tuning is done.

My iddle also its rare, a little over target and lambda 16. I have modified any things but dont get better lambda without modify rest of rpm, only want more fuel at iddle.
