CAN-BUS bluetooth module

Post by Bimmer » Thu Apr 28, 2016 7:05 pm

So i have can-bus bluetooth module dont understand this thing : 120 Ohm resistor must be present on each end of the bus between can-h and can-l. I have only 1 resistor with my module, so i have to put it between two wires of Can-h and Can-l ? or there should be two resistors on both ends between two can wires ? some diagram will be really helpful ....

You just connect EMU and CAN BT module ?
Or everything is connected to the car CAN BUS ?

If the can bus works great just connect BT Module to the CAN wires that comes from CAN BUS module.

For many of us we mostly work with mechanical things like suspension and engines etc electronics is only our secondary interest and as such our knowledge and understanding is sometimes limited

So there are 4 wires coming from the can-BT ... a little more detail would be helpful

im guessing that the red and black need to be connected directly to the 3v output on the EMU port is that correct?... or do we use the 5v op?... or switched 12v??

and the yellow and green wires can connect directly to the op side of the CAN module is that correct?? and does it matter which one is Can-high and Can-low??.... do we need the resistor if the CAN-BT is the only thing connected to the can module?? and if we do where should it be??

can you put a simple diagram in the help file or user manual, so we can all see exactly how CAN-Bus should all connect!
