Connecting Aem WBo2 to EMU

There is a wire from aem's wideband-controller that gives 0-5V for 10-18 AFR. How to properly connect and set this up with the EMU? Both WBo and EMU are installed, but they are not connected to each other yet. I want to connect it for logging purposes.

You will want the white wire off the AEM WB (0-5v output), and connect that to an available analog input on the EMU. Then go to Sensor Setup/Oxygen sensor, and select External controller, and then under input, select the analog input you chose previously. You will need to also input the correct calibration for your sensor, and I have found that the AEM published info is (almost) correct. You just want the EMU to report what you see on the AEM gauge, and there will be variations caused by different grounding locations.

If there is variations, What data is more reliable ? Why should I trust that ?

Guage data.

Exactly,

Pepifebles, the only reason to adjust what you see in the EMU is to more accurately display what the gauge shows. It is important for using target lambda (AFR) that the data the EMU sees is accurate.

Ok. What set do you have in lambda sensor? I tried 10-17.25 up to 19.50

Hi,

If it helps, I am using the same setup and the only way I could get the ecu to read accurately what was on the gauge was to earth the wideband gauge into the sensor ground on the ecu and then to get the readings to match I had to use--

AFR at 0v = 10.25 AFR
AFR at 5v = 19 AFR

This may not be the same for you but after much tweaking these were the settings that got the ecu to match what I was seeing on the gauge within 0.1 AFR.

Edward.

Thanks, I'll try it.
