Okay guys,

I'm wiring up the EMU (EDIT, I have no idea why I said DET3 earlier) to my R32 Skyline with a RB20 engine. I have a patch harness made for a R33 RB25 for the most part the harnesses are the same. So I plugged up the jumper harness, uploaded the base map and the car ran As-Is. I didn't drive, but just revv'ed it up to make sure all was good.

So I started working on my harness (adding Inputs and Output wiring, and Wideband Wiring), plugged it in, and it ran. My IACV was making all sorts of noise, and when I raised the frequency it stopped (it sounded like the IACV was just clicking nonstop). But I cannot hit any idle targets no matter what settings I put it at.

So I decided to update my firmware for the beta 1.51 for A/C Controls. All goes well, firmware updated, and it automatically connects after everything is done, and now, it won't start. It'll start for a second and die right after. I never hear the pump priming whatsoever.

I went back and looked at my outputs, and noticed there is no fuel pump output. But when I loaded up the base map, it doesn't show it to be hooked up either. Anyone have any ideas?

One last thing, I wired up my wideband according to the diagram (or so I think?), but it's not coming on whatsoever doesn't even try to warm up.

Okay, so a bit of progress

Wired up fuel pump, ended up using Stepper 1 B as the low side output. Default was .02 seconds so I bumped it up to 4S. What are you guys normally using here? I'm used to 2 seconds, but just want to see what others are doing.

Wideband was wired correctly, but I forgot to hit F2 when I changed it from Narrow band to Wideband

I really wish they would change that on the software. It's so annoying for me to make changes, then hit F2.

I still need help with the Idle Air Control Valve, I cannot get it to work whatsoever.

afterstart rpm increase, raise that to like 250
afterstart duration, raise to 10-15 seconds
DC during cranking, use like 70%

Once its started, watch the Idle Ref Table. there will be a red cursor that shows where the clt is in real time. you can raise or lower your DC% on both sides of the cursor. make changes appropriate so that you can get the actual RPM close to the RPM you have selected on the Idle Target table, which is 1000. Turn off the PID control for this so you are only setting the open loop idle control. Once you have your Idle Ref table calibrated so you can hit your Idle Target settings, then you can move onto the PID table.

I read on the Haltech, Motec and MS3 forums on how to set PID which was a great help. Motec has great videos to walk thru PID tuning that I just found.
