Re: 1JZ Idle air control valve
Which settings?
The 2d graphs or the parameters?
My parameters are 80hz and 125steps. The step measurement I pulled off of haltech forum from a thread about measuring the total range of movement.
The PID will probably be different for every car. I have p=8.5, I=.5, d=0, deadband 35rpm.
My ignition timing adjustment is 8+, 8-, every 7 cycles.
Just make sure your fuel table and ignition timing are solid before trying to dial in iacv adjustments.
And set your feed forward rpm from your 2d graphs AFTER, you set your base idle with the throttle stop screw WHILE your iacv hose is capped. Just below your desired idle rpm. Mine is set to 950 base, 1000rpm target via iacv.

Re: 1JZ Idle air control valve
er.... well all of it, i dont have the settings and at the moment its just not doing anything. I will have a proper play around a bit later.
The map i have is from here, i need to get it tuned up properly but wanted to get the teething problems out of the way first. Sounds like its missing now and again and also have some sort of wiring problem with my brakes. anyway...

Re: 1JZ Idle air control valve
this is a quick map that my friend sent me to get my car running.
idk what injectors youre on, if they re the 370's or 440's or 550's. this is for the 2jz aristo motor with 440's.
for my 1jz, I just changed the parameter to 2500cc engine instead of the 3000cc for the 2jz.

Re: 1JZ Idle air control valve
Thanks for the maps guys, I played with the settings and im still not getting any change. I think the wiring maybe wrong, I copied the wiring of whoever played with it before.
Do we connect the battery upto it? Looking on haltech they dont?
Cheers

Re: 1JZ Idle air control valve
Idk if the 1jz vvti is like the non vvti.
But the 2jzgte non vvti is just like the 1jz non vvti.
And this is the wiring I used. A few are wrong like the analogs. I had to make some changes to this.

Re: 1JZ Idle air control valve
here is a fantastic wiring diagram for supra, all the wire colors and plug pin numbers are directly on the schematics, also the correct connections for the ICV plug in the attached
