Hi All,

Have a freshly built car sporting a 1.5JZ engine with a new EMU install. EMU has been excellent for the most part, almost runs like a factory car, but we do have one small issue.

We want to use a the boost by gear feature to control boost levels on the fly. To do this, I am going to use a 5K POT wired to Aux In #4 with a pullup to 5v, and setup the EMU to use this input as the gear selection input sensor, and configure the table as appropriate. Then we can use boost gears scale to reduce the DC by a fixed percentage across the sweep of the POT (through all gears).

The issue we have seems to be a bug in the firmware - I have not tried any other firmwares yet. As soon as we change "Gear Detection Type" from "Calculated" to "Gearbox Sensor", the EMU stops reading speed input! If we leave it set to "Calculated", speed reading works perfectly. The issue here is we need speed input as to be functional for things like launch control.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

It looks like a firmware issue. We will check this and we wil let you know.

Small update - I have tried firmware 1.171 exp 1 now and can confirm the issue still occurs.

We can confirm that the issue exist. We will fix it in next few days.

I'm running 1.151 and having this same problem.

The issue already fixed in 1.172 version!

Hi Mr Jadzwin,

Sadly this issue is still not fixed - it is just different now in 1.172!

The speed works OK with gearbox sensor selected, but now the gears always stay at gear 1 and does not change with the aux input (in this case aux in #3).

I changed back to FW 1.171 and it works perfectly, but obviously I have the speed input not working issue again.

I tried changing the gears scale and other options but nothing seemed to work.

Load the project and check.
