Hello, i installed a EMU into a rally car running a MI16 Block with Custom pistons and a GTi6 DOHC Head.
I cannot get it to idle and run correctly and am lost between configs for teeth, angles and offsets...
My current config is
Primary: VR 60-2 Rising and trigger tooth 5,
angle 40
(middle of 6th-7th teeth counted from CPS hole until the TDC mark)
Secundary: Hall 1 tooth Falling
The camshaft tooth was inserted into the new BIG camshafts previously by the builder of the engine.
Its signal is coming on 6 pulses of the crank sensor before TDC as you can see in the scope log.
Engine runs like crap (when it doesn't flood, stalls and i have to change spark plugs to get it to start again),
My question is: Are the signals where they are supposed to be? It really feels like injection or ignition is out of sync by the way it runs...
Regards,

Re: Triggers Peugeot GTi6 Mi16
Hello, thank you for your reply.
My question is related to signals and the normal relative position of them in this engine/sensors, not about the procedure to fine tune offsets.

Re: Triggers Peugeot GTi6 Mi16
Thank You for your help.
BTW i know the TDC isn't in the 5th tooth.
[I had to wait for authorization to touch/work on the engine from the builder and check the angles.]
For anyone who needs the info,
1st cylinder TDC is between the 12th and 13th tooth after the teeth gap
which corresponds to the middle of the 20th tooth in the Camshaft sensor.
I will post correct config after i finish it.
Regards,
Nuno
