Cam variator setup

Post by Laurysr » Sun Dec 27, 2015 11:24 pm

Hi , im trying to setup inlet cam variator
origialy its activated up to 3000rpm after that it deactivates.

its activated by signal to relay and its on/off type

Inlet cam timing with variator off - opens at 8deg after TDC , closes at 54deg ABDC.
with variator on - opens at 10deg BTDC , closes 36deg ABDC.

how shall I set it up (vvti control wont work as it sends frequencies rather than fixed on / off? )

and in theory it will allow to advance timing by extra 18deg?

Thank you

Ifs a fiat coupe 5cylinder 20v turbo lump.
So u are saying i should use different output ?(not from vvt control section)
In that case do I need to change ignition timing accordingly or just set it as original to be open up to 3k rpm?

Thanks

Use parametric output or VTEC configuration from VVTi parameters.
