E46/E39 Canbus

Hi,
A question regarding the Canbus System of BMW E39 and E46: Since the EMU client supports the instrument cluster/dashboard via Canbus for the E46, is there any chance this would work with the E39 dash too? I noticed that there were various changes concerning the Bus system along the building period of the E39. Does the Emu-Can work for all model years of the E46 model?
