Issue: VAG Wasted Spark coil pack 032 905 106b

Hi,
i have an issue with the Golf 4 1,4 Coil Pack 032 905 106b. This coilpack has internal drivers and has 4 pins (12V, Power-GND, Sign1, Sign2). The signal wires are connected directly to the EMU and in the ignition options the the Option "coils with internal drivers" is selected.
The ignition events have the corresponding Ignition outputs selected. This should be all that is needed to get a spark while cranking, but this is not the case.
Unfortunately i get no spark. The rpm signal reads while cranking, 12V on the Coil pack does drop to about 10V while cranking, which should be no issue.
What i did test is the following:
With the Option "coils with internal drivers" there should be 0V with ignition on and engine off. I get there about 0,6V - 1V, which still shoud be ok. When i change the option to "coils without internal drivers" and the coil unplugged, there should be a constant 5V on the signal wired (because signal is inverted), but this is not the case. There must be something with the ignition output.
Do i have to mess around with a pullup resistor on the signal wires? it seems odd that my multimeter reads 0,6V at the signal wires while engine off and "ignition with internal drivers".
I read, that the new firmware has a output test mode. At the moment i have the current release (1.1). If i upgrade to the experimental client, do i also have to update the ECU Firmware to get the test mode? I assume the settings on the EMU will get lost, yes?
Thank you
