DET3 has stopped syncing in 60-2 but shows rpm !?

My DET3 will NOT SYNC using the normal 60-2 method.
It shows the rpm though? The input signal looks good with 1.32v p-p.
Output from the DET3 also looks good. Two opposite square waves each with 17.2v p-p.
It also SYNC's perfectly (in less than a second) using the 60-2 Siemens MS method?
Whats going on? This has been working for a year without issue, until now!
The car is a Peugeot 406v6 with std. Bosch MP 7.0 ECU

I can't help you, since I don't know your setup, but is it possible you need a pull up on the crank signal??
