Hello,
My MX-5 NB (Mk2) has sequential fuel injection from from factory and now when I have turbo installed, I would like to put more fuel on boost.
Is it possible to convert from sequential injection to bank fire without using DET3 in FIT mode? I really would like modify signal (keep really good factory maps) instead of generating completely new maps and rewiring as described in manual on page 25.
So far I have tried to use only one injector as input to DET. But idle is rough, if I understand it correct, the last cylinder(s) can be lean, as the fuel can be taken to another cylinder, is it possible issue on higher load or fuel will stay in manifold and wait for it's moment?
If I will use 2 injector as input and set 50% input, they will be fired 2 times per cycle. That's much better, but still can be a bit lean (I think). But when they will go to more than 50%, DET will detect 100% and we will be stucked on 50%, so again, I wold have to create in this case half of the fuel map.
Connecting all 4 for cylinder will make DET fire 4 times a cycle, which is good, but described problem is even worse(saturation occurs at 25%) and I'm not sure if ecu will like it.
Can I somehow make DET fire 4 times per cycle smaller doses (or more), not once? It knows current RPM anyway.
Thx, Jan

I think all the 1.8's are sequential right?
So you are trying to stay sequential?
So you are trying to stay sequential?

I don't need to stay sequential, but one injection per cycle for all 4 cylinders is not enought.
