Did you install the USB driver from the disk or from the download page?

I tried both
Its the same file name on the site and the cd : cdm20824_setup

I also tried both software the 1.25 and 1.31

Nothing worked

Sometimes software like this likes to have the USB serial adapter assigned to comm 1 to 4. Do you know how to go into Windows Device manager and change what port the driver is using? I wonder if there's a certain port speed the DET3 likes better than others as well. Usually 115,000 works well for most devices.

I figured it out !!

as long as your PC detects that you connected the device (makes the noise and shows the icon in the taskbar) this means the drivers are good

even when the program says CANNOT CONNECT you click upgrade firmware and choose the firmware and load it in

after that it connected right away and gave me the voltage of the source.
