DET3 doesent give out sinus wave singal

Hello,
Im having a fiat grande punto 1.4 8v 77bhp and have instalt the DET on it just to play with it.
The crank singal is a 60-2 patron with a 2 wire hall sensor witch gives a sinus wave patron.
I have programed the ingision modul like this.
My car gives a error saying the crank sensor mailfunctioning.
I have checkt both singals on a scope and the outging singal on pin 4 and 5 is a block signal.
the timing an patron seems the same as the sensor signal.
The DEt does reconize the incoming singal good and the road dyno works fine

Is it posibel that my ECU doesent reconize the blok wave as a good singal?
and how can i change this signal ? making a capasity filter ??

Thanks in advance

KK

Are you saying you scoped your Crankshaft signal before installing the DET and its a Sine Wave not a rectangular signal? If its a sine wave that goes above and below a zero point then you have a bi polar ignition system and have to wire the DET3 for bipolar. If its a two wire sensor did you wire in both wires into the DET3? How did you set up the Ignition parameters in the software?

Hey 03TIBE85 thanks for your response,

I have a 2 chanel scop zo i scoped the sensor singal/ DET input and the DET output.
The input is a sinus wave the output a blok wave.
I use the biopolair mode thif pin 4 and 5 as output to the cabels to the ECU.
I exalt havend measure if the singal crosses ) as my ground is not working properly but i should cros ) eihter way.
the total signal gave 2.5 volts al 800 RPM.

As input i only use 1 wire to pin 9 and the other to ground. is this right or should I do this difertly?
in the software i use the 60-2 option thif a hall sensor. The oter setting, max RPM and max adjustment angel are at pre setting.

Are ther more option in the software that i can try to fix this problem?

thanks in advance

If the input from the sensor is a sine wave then its not a Hall Effect so what could be happening is the DET3 is trying to take the Sine wave and out put a unipolar Hall Square wave. On the input does the sine bounce back and forth from zero volts or does it go above and below zero volts?

hey,
Thanks for you anser, i think your right thif the hall sensor and blok wave. :D

The reason i used the hall sensor option is becous its the only sensor option that gives a stabel RPM singal.
But i was already wondering way the sensor diddent nead a 5volt wire :D .
Ehm i dont know if the original sensor crosses ) becous the O or ground loop of my scope issent working good....
Im sure the singal is a pure sinus wave and i asume it crosses 0 but thats just thoereticly.

So what sensor mode do you think thats right fore a 2 wire pure sinus sensor VR bipolionar ? ?
and why does this mode give a unstabel RPM reading?
is there mayby a oter wiring scedule i have to folow for this sensor option?

anyway I will try to messure the singals this weekend also thif the VR sensor option.
